Slovakia: new methodology for describing the field and scope of accreditation
From 1 August 2026 an updated methodological guideline applies, setting out how to word the field and scope of accreditation for product certification bodies.
- A scope of accreditation is the document a body shows to the market — its wording decides whether the client knows what is actually covered.
- The guideline addresses product certification bodies but belongs to the same family of documents used to word testing laboratory scopes.
- The change lands mid-year, so bodies have to agree the wording at their next surveillance assessment.
