Slovakia signs up to the new global accreditation organisation
On 18 May 2026 the Slovak accreditation body became a signatory of the Global Accreditation Cooperation arrangement — the organisation formed by merging the previous global structures.
- Signatories recognise each other test results and certificates, so the signature translates directly into whether a Slovak laboratory report is accepted abroad.
- It is part of tidying up the accreditation world: two former international organisations were merged into one.
- For the laboratory client what counts is the practical effect — fewer repeated tests when exporting a product.
