Drinking water in Poland: five new parameters in the health ministry regulation
The regulation of 22 May 2026 took effect on 24 June, adding the sum of PFAS, bisphenol A, uranium and — conditionally — haloacetic acids and microcystin-LR to water testing.
- Bisphenol A at 2.5 µg/l, the sum of PFAS and uranium become permanent monitoring parameters — the laboratory needs methods whose limit of quantification allows a compliance decision.
- Haloacetic acids and microcystin-LR are tested conditionally: when the risk assessment of the intake and the network calls for it.
- Turbidity and somatic coliphages join operational monitoring, which changes sampling schedules at water suppliers.
