Nitrogen monoxide limit in underground mining: derogation extended to 2029
The regulation of the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy of 11 September 2026 (Journal of Laws 2026 item 1211) extends to 21 August 2029 the separate occupational limit values for nitrogen monoxide in underground mining and tunnelling.
- It amends § 4 of the regulation of 12 June 2018 on maximum admissible concentrations and intensities of agents harmful to health in the working environment: “until 21 August 2026” is replaced by “until 21 August 2029”.
- For underground mining and tunnelling the values of 3.5 mg/m³ (8-hour) and 7 mg/m³ (short-term) for nitrogen monoxide are kept.
- The regulation was published on 15 September 2026 and entered into force on the day of publication, with effect from 22 August 2026 — so the derogation applies without a gap.
