Four conditions for testing drinking water in Poland
Compliance monitoring may be run only by a laboratory that holds accreditation and accredited samplers, issues partial and complete reports, and is entered in the register kept by the Chief Sanitary Inspector.
- Accreditation to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 is the first condition but not the only one — the certificate alone no longer covers official testing.
- Samples must be taken by an accredited sampler, and the laboratory has to issue both partial reports and a complete monitoring report.
- Without an entry in the register kept by the Chief Sanitary Inspector, the results cannot support a water quality assessment.
