Lithuania: the first accredited environmental laboratory in the west of the country
The university laboratory in Klaipėda obtained accreditation for sampling and physico-chemical testing of water, wastewater, sludge and soil.
- It is the first such accreditation in the western part of the country — until now clients on the coast had to send samples inland.
- The scope covers both sampling and determinations, so the laboratory can handle the whole path of a test.
- The year 2026 brought several such extensions in Lithuania: the geological survey and the agricultural advisory laboratories also confirmed their accreditation.
