Pyraclostrobin and phosphine stay on the market — approvals renewed
The Commission renewed the approval of two active substances: phosphine by Regulation 2026/1968 and pyraclostrobin by Regulation 2026/1976.
- Implementing Regulation 2026/1968 of 7 September 2026 renews the approval of phosphine, the gas used to fumigate stored grain and feed; it was published on 8 September.
- Implementing Regulation 2026/1976 of 8 September 2026 renews the approval of pyraclostrobin, a strobilurin fungicide; it was published on 9 September.
- Both acts amend Implementing Regulation No 540/2011, the list of active substances approved for plant protection products.
- For residue laboratories this means both substances remain on the market and have to stay within the scope of the methods in use and of control plans.
