Concrete standard EN 206 split into two parts — new edition supersedes EN 206:2013+A2:2021
On 19 January 2026 CEN approved EN 206-1:2026, issued in March 2026. Part 1 covers performance, requirements, factory production control and assessment criteria for individual values.
- The single edition EN 206:2013+A2:2021 is superseded — the standard is now split into Part 1 (performance and requirements) and Part 2 (conformity assessment and certification).
- For a concrete testing laboratory this means a new reference document in the scope of accreditation and a new designation in test reports; plain "EN 206" without a part number no longer identifies a specific document.
- The standard refers to the EN 12350 series (fresh concrete) and EN 12390 series (hardened concrete) plus the aggregate standard EN 12620 — these remain the basis for testing.
- In Poland the previous edition is in force as PN-EN 206+A2:2021-08; adopting the new parts into the Polish set will be a separate step and will then require updating accreditation records.
