CEN opens a workshop on ammonia bunkering for vessels
On 21 September 2026 CEN announced the workshop “Guidance for refuelling and bunkering of ammonia fuelled maritime and inland waterway vessels”. The deliverable is a CEN Workshop Agreement; the kick-off is set for 27 October 2026.
- The scope covers technical and operational requirements for ammonia refuelling points and for bunkering of maritime and inland waterway vessels, distinguishing the two operating contexts.
- The planned agreement is to cover hardware, transfer systems, operating procedures, documentation and personnel training.
- Participation is open; comments on the draft business plan were accepted until 21 October 2026, and CEN/TC 15, CEN/TC 268 and CEN/TC 282 were invited to contribute.
